Our parish is having novena prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus every first Friday of the month and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary every first Saturday of the month. The novena is prayed at the 7:30am Mass after the gospel reading, in place of the homily. This short novena prayer is traditionally prayed in the Catholic Church every first Friday and first Saturday of the month in honor of the Alliance of Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary. March 2 - First Friday - Novena prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus during the 7:30am Mass. (A general blessing of throats will be prayed following the 7:30am mass for those in attendance.)
March 3 - First Saturday - Novena prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the 7:30am Mass; followed by confessions.
